Lol hook Matt up to a lie detector and I gurantee he would say 05 USC > 04 USC.

He's right, ya know! Funny how LSU took the worst coach ever and turned it into the best team...

Ask 100 "experts" and this is likely the average outcome.

That 2019 team was so good that they won the national championship with an actual nonverbal retard as head coach.

Purely false. O put the team together, brought in the pieces, put them in place and was brilliant enough to get out of the way and let the leaders on that team perform. O was the perfect guy for the job then and should be applauded for his work.

@CDawson Fair enough. But we also get to crucify him for running the program into a ditch in a single. fricking. Season.

The guy knows football and he is honest! Gotta respect that! If you took any lead on the 2019 LSU team, they would take a deep breath and blow you away and there was nothing the opponent could do about it, but watch. ??

I will always appreciate Ed O for giving us that year. The list of awards from the players on that team is also crazy impressive. What a year. Geaux Tigers.

Agreed, No one can take that away from the 'crazy cajun' HC. He served a much needed purpose at the time.......God Speed Coach O, enjoy your life!

Not sure about the "all time" description. The teams mentioned are all from less than the past 30 years. How about some of the Notre Dame teams of the early 20th Century. Oklahoma in the 1950s. Alabama teams from the 1960s-1970s.

Which specific team do you argue was more dominant for their era? Not talking runs but 1 year TEAM. I’m generally curious because I haven’t really researched college football before I started caring around 2002

Do you honestly think any of those teams you mentioned would lose to any of the 5 mentioned in the video?

1947 Michigan outscored opponents 394-53, 10-0.
1934 Notre Dame.
1972 USC.
1956 Oklahoma.

I'm not questioning the teams in the video. I'm saying that people have a tendency to say "all time" greatest, consisting of teams they've seen and remember. There were a lot of great football teams before some of us were born.

I've heard their Dodge Chargers come with WeatherTech mats, so they should ok.
