Not a chance I take a secondary player with a 4.56 in the top 5. But then again I'm not an NFL GM.

Eric Berry 4.47 (5th overall). Sean Taylor 4.51 (5th). Mark Barron 4.54 (7th). Michael Huff 4.34 (7th). Donte Whitner 4.40 (8th). Roy Williams 4.53 (8th)... There is no precedent in the past 15 years for taking a 4.56 safety in top 5 picks. Ain't gonna happen unless he kills his pro day

You're a fricking tard if you think that being .03 seconds slower than other top 10 picks in a straight line outweighs Jamal Adams' insanely good intangibles and the fact that he's pretty much the most solid football player and leader in this class.

I never said or implied that. He's an amazing player, but he's not getting picked top 5 with a 4.56. It would be unprecedented. Top 10 is more likely.

Did you see that start to his 40? He popped right up and then started to run. If he stays low and powers through the start, he would have shaved off some time.

He's faster than the 4.56 time some people just don't test well but I have never seen anyone run pass Jamal Adams unless he let them because he would score anyway. A safety doesn't need to be as fast as a corner, he has the ability to play at angles which Jamal is very good in doing. He caught the heisman winner in the backfield that fast enough for me. Also depends if any of the teams in the top five need a safety of his caliber, he's worth it if he's needed period. 40 times are seriously overrated. The guy will just make your defense better and if that's what you think you need he's worth a top 5 pick.
