Jerry Rice, Michael Irving, Chris Carter "slow" guys who are all in the NFL Hall of Fame. Route running, mental and physical toughness is what matters.

Not only that but the 40 time is more about technique then it is speed, they also tend to run faster on the field or run pass the opposing guy when needed. It's really about competitive spirit because they are all fast. Who's tougher, who will fight harder, who will actually jump for the ball, who will go over the middle without flinching. Of course speed has something to do with it but I would pick a 4.6 football WR over a 4.4 WR that thinks he can just run pass everyone any and all day.

I am as much a homer as anyone else, but neither one of these kids are anywhere close to where Landry was going into the NFL. Not even close.

No doubt. Fournette is faster than Dupre. Impressive! Both should do well in the pros!

I don't think Dupre will do much in the pros.

I agree with Bateman. Dupree will be out of the league in 3 years. Will be drafted mid rounds, won't do much and will bounce around practice squads

This puts a better perspective on Fournette

I think 40 yd time are overrated for WRs. A lot WR success involves route running, defense recognition, and acting. Look at Larry Fitzgerald. He ran a 4.63 but always wide opened during his career. Then look at James Jett...speed demon but can only run 1 route.

What's crazy is Fournette gets faster as the game goes on. Can't wait to see him in the NFL...unless Carolina drafts him.
