these dudes are more likely to come back and support the program. with time/money. similar to calling and asking us normal alumni for donations

The guys rep the gear. You show recruits these guys wearing the gear. Rinse and repeat.

Not that this is the point, but this year LSU has several X-players with kids that are recruits. Additionally, the program send this on social media for everyone to see and gain more exposure. Cheap cost and if you get you ex-players who have massive followings it gives more exposure. Also shows that the program wants to keep ex-players in the fold and they aren’t forgotten about after they leave.
