LSU running back Leonard Fournette is down in Atlanta for the 2015 College Football Awards on Thursday and spoke with NOLA.com to talk about being left off as a Hesiman finalist:



Fournette along with Alabama's Derrick Henry & Stanford's Christian McCaffrey are up for the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the nation's best running back. The award will be announced Thursday night on ESPN at 6pm. CT.

It's unfortunate that voters value the second half of the season more than the first, and that they penalize players for the downfalls of their teams but that's been the case every year. This shouldn't really be much of a surprise

I mean what is he going to say? "Yea screw them I deserve it"? They have some great finalists, LF is still a tremendous back but a better man. Hope he brings it again next year.

No offense to anyone, but I cannot stand when people say he needs to use this for fuel. He has had enough fuel and motivation all year. The game plan he was presented with is the reason he is not in New York. he can have ten times more "fuel" next year and he will still not be there.
