I think we'll finally see the offense, defense and STs come together in 2019 and maybe going forward. I think that was a huge issue with Miles. He was a great coach but just could never get all 3 phases to come together either bc of guys graduating, leaving early, not working out or just too young. This team will be veteran in all phases of the game next year and I think that was and is a priority for this staff is to keep experience, depth and talent every year and recruit to those strengths as best they can. If it means going JUCO or getting a few transfers then that's what they do then blend the HS talent with that experienced talent and you have a football team that's ready to make a run. Another aspect that we were losing each year with Miles was player accountability. They must have real leaders on the team each year and those guys have to set examples for the young group then ensure that leaders are replaced every year before they leave. I think if and when LSU can get to a point where they have freshman so talented that they can also contribute in the leader department is when this team will truly be taking that next step. Guys like Delpit when he came in and guys like Stingley. Guys like that but at QB, OT, DL and LB. Guys talented enough to help lead but also know they're still freshman and are learning. Spread that amazing once in a lifetime talent out amongst the roster and team then we'll be able to say, WE'RE BACK! HOLD THAT TIGER!
