The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

Non-sense. ESPN explain the formula that puts us #4. Does not strength of schedule mean anything?

LSU's strength of schedule is actually decreasing by the week. Texas has what, 3 losses now. Florida probably get it's 2nd loss to UGA this weekend also. Your SOS isn't looking that amazing anymore.

It's based on "efficiency" algorithms. Our defense gave up some stuff at the beginning of the year that brings down the algorithm output...

And everyone else has played Ohio state every week apparently. Duke vs Texas?? Texas is tougher. Florida vs Texas A&M. Florida is tougher. Auburn va South Carolina. Auburn tougher. Has to be some other metric causing us to be 4th.

They rank the teams before the season starts when teams play at there rankings given by ESPN anyalist. It doesn't matter how they finish the year... mainly all espn anyalist are from a big 10 big 12 school that's why they keep them ranked so high. They are all lossers...
