It looks like former LSU star defensive back Tyrann Mathieu decided to pop the big question to his longtime girlfriend Sydni Paige Russell and did so with a $250,000 ring, according to TMZSports:
quote:

TMZ Sports has learned the new Kansas City Chiefs safety decided to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Sydni Paige Russell ... so he hit up ZoFrost in Houston to get some ice for the big occasion.

What's good about it!? Sounds like some is envious because he was able to spend more on a ring than the cost of your house!

The jeweler also installed a tracking device which activates after the divorce.

In other news, a relative tried to blackmail him for millions. Threatened to go to TMZ with claims of sexual assault and kill Mathieu's family members.

no need to waste that much money on a ring. And it IS a waste, because there was likely a HUGE markup by the jeweler. He could spend 1/10 of that amount and get a helluva ring.

Seriously, for where this kid came from and how hard he worked (and how good a girl this is, believe it or not), I'm so happy for him. IDGAF how much the ring cost, he's got the $

Diamonds are actually a really good investment. Especially diamonds at this price point. Read up on it

"Diamonds are a really good investment." I think maybe Drew would disagree with that. He is currently in a court battle after being ripped off for, I believe, $8 million he invested in diamonds and other colored gems. This was supposedly from a very well known and respected jeweler in San Diego. Or so the story goes.

@kciDAtaE I have read up on it, and you're wrong. Have you ever tried to sell a diamond?
