Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE — Tyrion Davis-Price set a single-game LSU Football rushing record with 287 yards, as the Tigers outscored Florida, 49-42, on Homecoming Saturday afternoon in Tiger Stadium.

Davis-Price, a junior from Baton Rouge, thrilled the home crowd with 36 carries including touchdown runs of 18, 40 and 25 yards. Quarterback Max Johnson connected with junior wide receiver Jaray Jenkins for three more touchdowns including a 1-yard score on fourth-and-goal with 3:30 remaining in the contest that gave LSU its final margin.

On the ensuing drive, LSU senior linebacker Damone Clark intercepted Florida at the LSU 30-yard line, allowing Davis-Price and the Tigers offense to run out the clock. Earlier in the contest, sophomore cornerback Dwight McGlothern – who started for the second time in his LSU career – returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown to put LSU ahead 28-13 on 48 seconds in the second half.

Gameball goes to #82 Jack Mashburn. If you watch the highlights, he was in on 90% of the plays, and always made a key block. He's only 6-2, 218 pounds, but he obviously knows where he's supposed to be and when, and he can blick better than anyone else LSU has used at TE or FB all year.

@cheeto225 No TDP doesn't suck. It looks like our OC finally got the O-line in sync and is making the right calls... Hopefully.

We had a 2 TD lead and looked to be cruising, but barely held on to win at the end over a bad Florida team. I'm glad we won, but this game changes nothing. If anything, you wonder why the hell it took so long to get the run game going.

Ya know there are some disappointed folks who were waiting to rip O. Not today. Great job, Tigers. Mullen now 1-4 vs O. He must really hope O stays at LSU now.
