Little do the finalist know, if you win you have to cut off your finger on the chance of having 'Ronnie Lott' like NFL career. I think most would say yes.

Is there anything dumber than Watch Lists? I guess it gives sportswriters a chance to pretend they are doing some sportswriting instead of actually having to do any sportswriting. Now that we have the list of 42 players on the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, do we have to really watch all of them. OK, I'll watch Derek Stingley and Jacoby Stevens but I draw the line on Dicaprio Bootle and Boogie Basham. Now when the Peter Mortell Holder of the Year Trophy Watch List is announced, that will be interesting. Last year's winner was Preston Brady from the University of Memphis. He came out of high school as the nation's 12th ranked long snapper. When you can snap the ball while simultaneously catching and placing it on the ground for the kicker, that's versatility deserving of some recogniton.
