Tim Tebow joined ESPN's First Take on Friday morning and was asked about LSU's chances against No. 1 Alabama on November 9th in Tuscaloosa.
quote:

"I'll tell you what, they can give Alabama a threat and the No. 1 reason is Joe Burrow," Tebow said.

"When you look at history, the ten or so years when Alabama has struggled it's been against a quarterback that played great against them. Whether that was Cam Newton, Chad Kelly, Bo Wallace, and Trevor Lawerence last year. The time Alabama has been upset it been done because a quarterback has stepped up and had a fantastic game. And so far Joe Burrow has been unbelievable this year."

"I'm so excited to see LSU and Joe Burrow take on this Alabama team because that is going to be two big-time quarterback going head to head."
On his Top 4 teams that he would put in the playoff right now:
quote:

"Today I would go No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Oklahoma, and Clemson just out at No. 5."
On his Heisman pick right now:
quote:

"Right now it's Joe Burrow," Tebow said. "I don't think he's going to win it the second week of December but right now he has to two biggest wins of any quarterback. He went to Austin and he beat Texas. And he didn't just play ok, he played great.

"And again last Saturday night, against Florida... a defense that everyone was hyping up, he carved them up for four quarters."

"He's had the two biggest games in college football and he's been consistent all year. If I had to win today, Joe wins it. But I do think theres a lot that will happen."

I really think the qb of the winner of the Bama/LSU game will win the heisman.

If LSU wins, Joe wins it. If Bama wins, Hurts wins it....unless it was a super lopsided win, in which case Tua would win.

Miss St and Auburn are bigger games right now because they're the next games coming up before Bama!

Tim is pretty much spot on, the safe pick is someone other than Joe/LSU. But I personally think Joe has what it takes to close this out, this man wants a big fat ring on his finger.

Bama's defensive scheme against LSU has always been stack the box, stop the run, and force them to throw it. And since the passing game was so awful, it was effective. That won't be the case this year. Bama will actually have to game plan for all aspects of the offense. I also don't think Bama's CBs match up with LSU's WRs. LSU's defense has always played well against Bama's offense, but when the offense was constantly 3 and out, the defense would get burnt out late. Aranda has been running a base defense (with a few ripples here and there) all year. I believe he been holding back specifically for Bama so they have no film on what LSU will be doing defensively. If I'm correct, LSU will win because Bama's gameplan offensively, won't be prepared for the looks they get. I truly think this the year we dethrone the Tide. Geaux Tigers!
