Five teenage kids broke into Tiger Stadium at LSU around 1:45 p.m. this past Saturday, according to multiple sources.

This is the third time that Tiger Stadium has been broken into this offseason. Per The Advocate:
quote:

This is the latest of a series of break-ins at the stadium that led to a citation or arrest. There were at least two cases in January where individuals or groups broke into the stadium though no damage or theft was reported.

In early January one or more people illegally entered the space overnight and caused "minimal damage" to the grass field.

I really wouldn't call this a break-in. At 1:45 PM there are several gates open on the East side. Contractors, employees, athletes are in many areas of the stadium at that time. These teenagers most likely saw an open gate and walked in to take a look. There is a lot of movement around the stadium during the day, so I'm sure people looked past them. They prob just got too close or spent too much time in there and got caught by a grounds crew, equipment manager, athletic trainer or marketing person. This is not a break-in.

I used to walk in on Thursday/Friday before a home game and hide 2 flasks for retrieval upon entering the stadium.
