Texas A&M's Germain Ifedi: John Chavis 'Did More With Less' At LSU

During SEC Media Days on Tuesday, Texas A&M offensive lineman Germain Ifedi told reporters that current Aggies defensive coordinator John Chavis "did more with less" while he was at LSU.
Ifedi also suggested that LSU's defense "doesn't do anything spectacular" and that LSU "doesn't have the greatest players in the world," according to The Advocate:

quote:It's safe to say that many LSU players are aware of what Ifdei had to say and will save that bulletin board material for November 28th when the Aggies come to Tiger Stadium.
"When I heard (Chavis) was coming to A&M I was excited. It’s a big deal," he said. "(Chavis) has proven he can do more with less and even more with more. He’s proven he’s a great coordinator over the years and he doesn’t need high level players.
"Now we have high level players on defense, so it’s almost scary what he’s going to be able to do.”
