During SEC Media Days on Tuesday, Texas A&M offensive lineman Germain Ifedi told reporters that current Aggies defensive coordinator John Chavis "did more with less" while he was at LSU.

Ifedi also suggested that LSU's defense "doesn't do anything spectacular" and that LSU "doesn't have the greatest players in the world," according to The Advocate:
quote:

"When I heard (Chavis) was coming to A&M I was excited. It’s a big deal," he said. "(Chavis) has proven he can do more with less and even more with more. He’s proven he’s a great coordinator over the years and he doesn’t need high level players.

"Now we have high level players on defense, so it’s almost scary what he’s going to be able to do.”
It's safe to say that many LSU players are aware of what Ifdei had to say and will save that bulletin board material for November 28th when the Aggies come to Tiger Stadium.

You guys are being suckers for a sensationalized article taking quotes completely out of context. The author of this article is looking for something he can use to bait clicks with. What a joke!

It's amazing how the Cult at A&M is hanging so much of their faith in John Chavis. The same John Chavis who has led at least 4 defensive last minute collapses over just the last 3 seasons and damn near 2 more vs. Ole Miss and A&M (remember that one Aggie fans?). Then there was the 4th and 17 which Chavis' defense gave up 18 yards vs Clemson which set up Clemson to win with a last second field goal. I honestly think that Chavis will be exposed as the fraud he is against Arizona State in his 1st game wih A&M. This is going to be fun watching Chavis burst the Aggie bubble. Hillarious.

So is this aTm's way of saying Chavis was a garbage recruiter since he had no players?

he'll have a whole lot less to work with, at A&M this year.

So he's putting Down his offense since we beat them with less.

Yeah A&M's 102nd ranked defense is just bursting at the seams with "high level players" and LSU's was only ranked in the top 10 because Chavis is good at coaching mediocre players.Very sound logic there.
