The calendar says the season is over. I’m with TM and his family. The season is over, ride off in to western sky of riches with pride.

Typical American society(sadly.) Quitter praised for walking out on his teammates. If he was going to "opt out," should have done it before the season started. Makes zero sense.....he couldn't have gotten hurt in the first seven games? Don't let the door hit you!

A lot of people are mad, and are entitled to y'all opinions, but I find it comical that there are those of you that are belittling him and resorting to name calling for not getting your way and getting mad at him for opting out because it's not turning out his way. Sounds like you would make the same decision a him. Marshall, just like Chase, have MILLIONS riding on the line. I'll say it again, MILLIONS. If he gets hurt and drops from a 1st rd to a 4th rd a ton of that money is lost. None of us on this board has any idea what the weight of MILLIONS riding on the line is like. Back off, he's a young man looking out for his future, how TF can you be mad at that.

Seems to be a great kid kid, and worked through a lot of adversity the last 4 years.. I say good decision. Wish you the best Terrace.

That dude didn’t write all that. His agent’s marketing writers did. What a douchebag

He just opted out of his team and teammates. Going gets tough, some get going, others stick it out. There’s a lot to be taken from this.

You know who wouldn’t opt out when things got tough? Joe Burrow wouldn’t opt out. He’d gut it out.

The continued downfall of college football. Opt outs and transfers, what’s next paying players? Well, Alabama already does that but it’s still not right

There is a rule this year that allows players to opt out. Its a rule for only this year. This past weekend is normally the last week of the season anyway, so I don't blame him. And what is this "downfall of CFB" you are talking about? Just because they make some changes and it isn't the CFB you grew up with means its a downfall?

It’s amazing how all those poor boys from the hood go to LSU to play for free when they could be getting a lot more from Bama.

am I the only one who just noticed that it's "Terrace" and not "Terrance"? Just deleting random letters from a name makes it cooler, I guess

All I want to say is in 2020 nothing and I mean not one damn thing that happens surprises me. I just watch my New Orleans Saints beat the hell out of the Denver Broncos without a QB on their starting roster. Have anybody ever seen that before? HELL NO! So everybody who's disrespecting WR Terrace Msrshall Jr. for opting out think about what this world is going through. Nothing is a giving, nothing is a sure thing and injuries are a major part of the young man's decision. Marshall could've opted out when WR Ja'mal Chase did but he tried to give it a go and when he saw his starting QB Myles Brennan go down he still tried to go. But the writing is on the wall this season is a wash and our QB situation because their young is a dumpster fire. Now if Brennan is not hurt I don't think he makes this decision I believe he continue playing. And please people if you think Msrshall is not a first or second round talent then you don't know football. And once he's at the combined trust me with his size, speed, hands and his route running teams will be salivating over him. Now I'm not selfish like a lot of you fair weather LSU fans it's so amazing to me how quickly y'all turn on a kid a fricking kid making a decision that benefits his family but I guess it's your opinion. Well good luck TM thinks for all the memories you blessed us with now get to work and go get that $$$ and make the true LSU Tiger fans proud.

Change opt out to quit and reread it. He certainly can do what he wants but you know - I put a lot of stock in the character of a man. And I’ll take a man that isn’t selfish and a quitter any day of the week. So if he’s in a bad situation in Iraq or Afghanistan and he’s not faring well it’s ok to just quit? QUIT.

2020 has birthed an all new "not happy" athlete...just opt out and don't grind our your commitments.

Its a business. CFB has changed it schedule around to get the matchups that will get better rating. LSU vs Alabama brings in better ratings than LSU vs Ole Miss, who we were originally scheduled to play. Better ratings = more money. So if everyone involved in CFB can make decisions that are in their best interest, why shouldn't the players.. The ones who CFB depends the most on.

So its okay for everyone involved with CFB (networks, universities, coaches, etc) except the players? In a regular season this would have been the last week of the season. Both of these games are make up games. He doesn't own anyone anything except for himself. I am sure he really cares what you think.

Wasn't he the 1 that called a team meeting, etc? Hope his football skills carry him to the nfl, cause he sure isn't going to get drafted for his leadership credentials...

I was glad he signed with the Tigers, but he quit on his team in the middle of the season!! I'm clueless? He calls "rah-rah" meeting after team quit during the auburn game, then 2 week later, he quits the team to further his freaking draft status? I think you need to pull your head out of your rectum and actually understand what he just proved to the world, when the going gets tuff, just quit!

He quit on the team in the middle of the season? This past week would have been the last. We play two make up games. At this point, let other players get some PT.
