Talented freshman defensive back Donte Jackson, who recently ran a 4.24-second 40-yard dash, told reporters at media day Sunday that he is now faster since arriving on campus and working with strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

"I always knew I was fast," he said. "From track, I always knew I was kinda fast, but when I came here and got the great work over the summer from (strength and conditioning) coach (Tommy) Moffitt and got speed training and stuff, I feel like they've upped my speed a lot and made my legs stronger and made me just ready to run."
Head coach Les Miles has mentioned in the past that Jackson could see some snaps on the offensive side of the ball, but according to Jackson he has not sat in on any of the offensive meetings so far during fall camp.

Why use him on offense? I mean when 80% of the plays are up the middle between the tackles that much speed would be wasted anyway
