Many rumors have be floating around that LSU head coach Les Miles could be serious candidate for the Michigan job once again. Some even think that Miles might take the job if he is offered it, including ESPN's Skip Bayless.

Here is what Bayless had to say on ESPN's Mike and Mike radio show this morning:
quote:

"I believe Les Miles will take this job," Bayless said. "I think he wanted this job before."

"There were certain people in power that did not want Les Miles to come back. I think this time it will happen, thats just my gut feeling at this point."
Anyone buying this?

I may be in the minority here but I think he's done a great job at LSU and hope he stays. With the exception of Saban, what other coach has put together as good of a resume at LSU, or anywhere else in the country ?

Am I dissapointed in the year ? Maybe a little..still mad about the Bama game, but this is a young team and definitely suffered through some growing pains. I think this team will be a true contender in the next couple of years.

This is weird. I love that LSU fans want him to stay at LSU. As a bama fan, I want Les Miles to stay as long as he wants too. Guess we'll call this a win-win (although 1 of us ain't winnin' a lot lately).

Holy freaking shite, upon opening up TD, this is the first thing I seen. "Les Miles will take the Michigan job" I nearly flipped, and then I read Skip Bayless. LOL

When it comes to Skip Bayless he is the prime example that being educated does not correlate to intelligence...

Skips brother Rick owns Frontera in Chicago and is an incredible Mexican chef. I highly recommend eating his food. Skip, not so much.

Michigan is a dumpster fire. Whether Les wants this job or not he is not dumb enough to take a job at 61 years of age when there isn't even an Athletic Director at UM. They have an interim AD conducting a search for their 3rd head coach in 5 years. ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Rich Rod was run off after only 3 years and look at what he is doing at Arizona. Was it Rich Rod or Um that had the problem?

LSU is simply a better job than Michigan and truth be known the ONLY reason Miles would consider this job is that he played there. LSU pays the head coach better than UM. LSU pays the assistant coaches more than UM. Both Cam Cameron and John Chavis make more than 1 million per season at LSU. The highest paid coordinator in the entire Big Ten makes 800,000. Both Cam and Chavis have personal contracts with LSU for the 2015 season. So Miles will go to that situation without either of his coordinators? Miles will uproot his family after 10 years in Baton Rouge where he has had tremendous success and 3 kids still in school?

Hell, Miles could go to Michigan and lose two games to Ohio State and get fired and then they would say "I told you he was too old", etc. Truthfully, who sees Miles or anyone going to Um and winning against Ohio State or Michigan State in the next 2-3 years? It isn't going to happpen and whoever the next coach at Michigan is will simply become the next Rich Rodriguez. However, at Miles age that will be how his career will end. In failure if he goes.

If Miles remains at LSU he is destined for the Hall Of Fame.

Finally, the truth is that Michigan fans don't want to realize it but UM is in need of a comple rebuild. UM needs a young coach and some patience. Otherwise they had better put in a revolving door for head coaches because they are making the same mistake looking for a quick fix for a long-term solution.

Well-he must at least be thinking about it because if he wasn't interested, he would come out and say he isn't interested. I have not heard him say that so far!!
