Multiple sources are reporting that former LSU special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto has been hired to be linebackers coach and run game coordinator at Ole Miss.

Peveto worked under Les Miles at LSU from 2005-2008 and from 2014-2016. He was fired by Ed Orgeron after the regular season ended, just one day after being Coach O was named permanent head coach.

Who would have thought he would have gotten a new job before CLM?

Wasn't Peveto the Texas connect? Seems like this is more based on recruiting.

Glad to hear that he landed on his feet...good guy, but he had just outlived his shelf life at LSU.

Who knows who will win the coin flip in next fall's ole miss game but their first kickoff to us very well could sail clear out of bounds.

I guess Ole Miss doesn't want kick offs that don't make it to the end zone or likes the penalty for kicking out of bounds.

This is so awesome. We get rid of him and one of our rivals just acquired the worst special teams in the league!

He won't be coaching special teams.

they hired him to go after the LA talent. Between Ole Miss and Bama, we will have a tough fight keeping our boys instate!!!

If any of the posters were coaches that have been to his clinic, you would know why he gets jobs. He is not a bad coach. He is one of the better coaches that I have ever listened to at a clinic. He really knows linebackers and he will also stay after to answer each and every question. Also, he LOVED LSU!

As a coach (if you are one), then how do you explain his lack of success on the field? Was it a coincidence that his units seemed to regress when he took over? Serious question, I want to like the guy, but he looks to be lost on game day and every time he takes over a unit, they seem to get worse.

First, do not need to prove anything to you. Second, I was referring to linebackers and not special teams. He has had a pretty good history of coaching LB's, especially with Pelini. Finally, I am not trying to have a love fest for the guy, I am only giving an opinion of what I know.

Woah, I was not asking for proof of anything, I simply want to hear someone who seems to know coaching inform me of something I am not sure of. I hear people defend the man all the time, yet he drives most fans nuts when his units seems to regress. He looks lost on the sidelines and seemed to always be in Miles's arse at the wrong times.

My point exactly Mr. Perfect. Good recruiter. Bad coach. Special teams have been horrendous under his watch. Should be much improved in that area, no matter who the replacement is.
