Former LSU head coach Les Miles will interview for the Houston job, according to ESPN.

Also interviewing for the job is Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin who is believed to be the top candidate for the LSU OC job.
quote:

Kiffin previously was a head coach for the Oakland Raiders and at Tennessee. He has been Alabama's offensive coordinator the past three years.

Miles is an attractive candidate because of his recruiting ties to the state of Texas from his time as head coach at LSU and Oklahoma State.

"Les Miles has always recruited Texas and has friends in Houston," a source said. "It could be what Miles is looking for."

Miles will probably get it because of his NC. If Kiffin or Briles gets it, hire the other one as OC at LSU. (Not counting Miles, of course.)

I hope he gets the gig. That gives us a better chance to get Kiffen. I'm drunk right now, but still sober enough to know that!

Doug Masters, lol! I was off work today and there was a party today so we were cranking and having a good time. Wasn't sloppy drunk, just a good buzz.

Les is such a damn goober. I'm so glad we got rid of him as head coach, even though it was a few seasons too late in my opinion.

If I were Les, I'd go to the house with the millions in the bank. Unless he blew it. But he doesn't seem that type.

Here's a question I would ask if I were part of the search committee. Coach you were almost fired at the end of the 2015 season. You were retained by LSU because you made a commitment to revamp the Tigers offense. You didn't live up to that commitment. Tell us why we should believe you are ready to change offensive schemes as Head Coach of Houston?

Miles is a good bet for the job. I'd take him over Kiffin any day. He's loyal and a good face for a program. We should have never got rid of him, especially for an assistant coach

well les miles is loyal i give you that, i really like the guy. he is well known in college football from being at lsu. but is les miles really a good fit for houston, from the way i see houston run their offense over past 8 plus yrs to watching miles offense the past 15 yrs, is that a good fit?? he is damn loyal guy for sure. i sure hope he gets a job where he will be happy and his family can call home. good luck miles and where ever you geaux :)
