Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
Ross Dellenger with Sports Illustrated is reporting that LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady has agreed to a three-year extension with the school.
quote:

Joe Brady, the Tigers’ first-year pass game coordinator and one of the hottest assistants in the country, has agreed to a new contract with the school through a memorandum of agreement, multiple sources tell Sports Illustrated. The agreement’s parameters remain in flux, but Brady would, as of now, receive a three-year contract and a salary that is expected to more than double his current earnings of $410,000. The deal protects LSU from losing Brady to college assistant jobs, but provides him flexibility for a jump to a college head coaching position or the NFL, where many believe his future lies.

I'd wager that Ensminger will "step down" to spend time with his family and Joe Brady will get the Offensive Coordinator title next season.

I would think he needs a little time to learn OL systems and running backs. He is obviously good at the passing attack but needs to learn the whole of the offense.

Absolutely a fantastic boost for guys that will be back next year no doubt. Great job by Woodward getting this shite done now before the game. Someone was asking the other day about how and why was Alleva so bad. It was exactly this kinda thing. He would never have gotten this thing done like this was handled no damn way. Can’t put a price tag on a competent AD.

Helped coach Steve change things. Joe Brady has done a lot for the offense through the tutelage of Ensminger; he’s the first to acknowledge it. Not to take anything away from Brady. He has been an amazing addition. Let’s just not be so quick to marginalize coach Steve and his contributions to the offense.

Stupid comment coming from someone that will contribute $0.00.

@goodgrin, I think it’s more “surprised that he agreed to that” vs “someone needs to pay him more”
