Multiple sources are reporting that LSU starting defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory suffered a season-ending Achilles injury last night vs. Nicholls.

Guillory left the game and the field in a wheelchair last night.

Coach Brian Kelly should have an update on Guillory on Monday but this is a huge loss for the Tigers.

This sucks for John and big Tank. This is supposed to be there year and this happens. I hope they both try it again and come back from this at the perfect time to give us a big season next year. I believe we’ll be in much better position next year. Of course not where we want to ultimately be but better. I think this is very similar to the 2017-2019 runs we had. This year is 2017, next year will be 2018 and 2027 will be our championship year. I believe from that point forward, we will be one of the consistently dominant teams in the country. Hopefully we keep our staff together. From now on we need to keep hiring the better names in the sport for our defense. When you have a defense, you always have a chance. You can be okay on offense and still win 90% of your games.

Looks like it might be a long season if we keep having injuries like this.

Relax - we're in year 4 of a 10-year plan. No one will have questions about our depth in 2030.

Fans need to be prepared for an 8-5 type season.
This is a very average team and now a little worse losing this guy.

Anyone else scratching their head on strength and conditioning under Kellys watch yet?

That has nothing to with an injury like this.

It's crazy that in 2024 people still think strength and conditioning is somehow going to prevent the obvious resultant trauma from a 300 lb man falling on top of you. Yeah man, if only he had done more agility drills he would have been fine.
