Larry Blakeney, Troy's current head coach announced his retirement in October and will step down after the season.

LSU recruiting coordinator and running backs coach Frank Wilson is a serious candidate for the head coaching position at Troy and is “very interested” in the job, multiple sources told The Advocate on Wednesday.
