Bruce Feldman with Fox Sports reported Friday morning that LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron will not be joining the Mississippi State coaching staff and wants to remain at LSU.

Many conflicting reports surfaced on Thursday evening as to whether or not Orgeron was offered the defensive coordinator position at Mississippi State.

FootballScoop reported that Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen was pushing hard to get Orgeron on his staff but other reports said he was not offered the job.

There were reports Thursday that Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen had offered LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron the Bulldogs' vacant defensive coordinator job, but a source told FOX Sports on Friday morning that the Louisiana native was not offered the job. Things never got that far and Orgeron really wants to remain an LSU Tiger, according to the source.
Ross Delleneger with The Advocate is reporting that LSU and Orgeron have had recent talks this week about his job status and are working on a new deal to keep him in Baton Rouge.

LSU is working on a new deal with Orgeron that would include an extension and a raise. The school is also working on a new contract for offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, Miles and athletic director Joe Alleva said earlier this week.

Alot of people blaming Cam for the offense, it's not entirely his fault. Les steps in alot. He is as much to blame. Don't get me wrong, I was one of the many who wanted Les to stay. Cam has never had full control of the offensive decision making. I think if Les gave Cam total control (Like he regrettably gave Steele), Our offense would be alot better.

This is Coach O's home. He would not leave unless it is for a head coaching position.
