Ross Dellenger with Sports Illustrated is reporting that at least 30 LSU Football players have been quarantined after testing positive for the coronavirus.

The report says that a portion of the players got infected at Tigerland near LSU's campus.
quote:

No LSU athlete or staff member has required hospitalization, and very few have experienced effects beyond mild symptoms. Officials are thankful that athletes were on campus, where the school has quick accessibility to testing and results.

A portion of LSU’s football players are quarantined after frequenting a string of nightclubs near the school’s campus called Tigerland. On Friday, the Louisiana Department of Health announced that more than 100 Tigerland bar-goers have tested positive for the virus and warned those who have frequented the establishments to quarantine for at least 14 days. Mullenix is in constant contact with the Louisiana Department of Health, showing health officials team trends, a process that helped reveal the Tigerland bar outbreak. Read more.

50 million people die each year in the world. Less than 1% will be from Covid.

And it's probably 99.9% for their age group.

Good, let it run through the team in June that way they won’t have to worry as much come September

The Team needs to have Covid party and get it over with. No more worries. They are all young strong and healthy.

It attacks your lungs and can cause permanent lung damage even in young people you dumbass. Not something you want to get intentionally, even if the chances of a bad outcome are low.

Damn wish this was closer to 100 because it would give LSU a huge advantage come the season if everybody already got it.

“No hospitalizations or serious illness.” 30 test positive. None are that sick. Shocker.

That headline is wrong. The article did not say 30 players tested positive.

And ZERO of them knew they had it until they were tested. This shite is a joke.

Hey you stupid downvoters, you can downvote the truth all you want but it is still the truth. If the players or LSU knew they had been exposed or if they had any symptoms they would not have bee back at LSU to begin with. Corona virus is overblown and has been sensationalized by the media. It is ridiculous.

Mr Rob...if you think COVID Just being left to run it’s course was a better idea...picture this...Hundreds of thousands of US deaths being attributed to COVID (whether that was actually what killed them or not) and the media pushing fear like they have...shitting on trump yada yada yada would’ve resulted in a better market than what you’re seeing right now after closures....you’re sadly mistaking bruh. Don’t join a team. Think for yourself.

If this happens in august (which it will) that's 2 games missed automatically. Next years champs will be the team who avoids the virus. Plain and simple

Blaming the media is another way of ignoring ignorance. If at this point you don’t know what you should and should not do, then the problem you have is yourself. Media didn’t tell you to go out and take risk. Haha the media.

I thought these guys were basically gonna be on lockdown? This season is never going to happen with 20 year olds doing whatever they want.

Tigerland should be torn down. All bars and nightlife should be by Northgate.

This is actually a good thing to get it now while they are on campus and not at home around older relatives. College kids are not gonna stay at home all day if they are either in their hometown or back in the college town. Plus it probably will help out when the fall rolls around if most have already had it.

I had it and then tested negative for antibodies 45 days later. Good idea if that worked.
