ESPN has released preseason college football rankings and pegged LSU at No. 7. Here's what they had to say about the Tigers in 2019.
quote:

No. 7 LSU
Is this really the year LSU's offense steps into the 21st century? Coach Ed Orgeron says it's finally time, with new passing-game coordinator Joe Brady on board. If that happens, with quarterback Joe Burrow returning, the Tigers might actually be ready to take the next step. The loss of linebacker Devin White hurts the defense, but safety Grant Delpit is poised to show why he's one of the best defenders in college football. -- Scarborough

ESPN is always, always wrong and biased against LSU. Which is why the only time I watch them is when LSU plays on their network. Other than that, I avoid them like the plague. Furthermore, there so-called SEC Network is a complete and utter joke. It's not an SEC Network! It is the Alabama love and worship Network.

LSU should be a consensus Top 5 team, but their schedule keeps them back. Time to prove them all wrong. Us against the world.

Disgusting the love they constantly throw at Michigan. They are trying to WILL them success. This is the team that got blown the hell out in the bowl game by Florida.....

It's been that way for at least the last 40 years. Probably closer to the last 50 years. They were practically about to orgasm in 97 when Michigan shared the title.

Easy way for pollsters to hedge their bets. Winner of tOSU/Mich should always be Top 5.

The love they constantly throw at Georgia is also pretty damn disgusting if you ask me.

Notre Dame should be around 11. I’d also put Georgia at 5. They’re good but I don’t think they’re as good as last year.

Michigan and LSU need to switch here.

Was just thinking the same thing. Got manhandled by UF, and I know that was last season but that also comes into play when they develop these rankings.

Espn rankings take a strong early schedule as a negative with their probability metrics. Comparably they have a much easier path to be undefeated by mid season by espn metrics. When we beat UT though we will jump into top 5 so no big deal.
