LSU head coach Brian Kelly and cornerback coach Robert Steeples were in Florida this week to visit with elite five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks.

Ricks was originally a 2024 recruit but reclassified to the 2023 class this past October when he turned 18. He visited Baton Rouge for the Mississippi State game this year and is expected to be back on campus for a visit next weekend. He just visited Florida last weekend.

The 6-2, 185-pound prospect from IMG Academy is rated the No. 2 cornerback in the country and the No. 5 overall player from Florida, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Ya know...with the transfer portal as popular as it is, the shift of power may swing back to the schools now. They may think, why spend all that money to recruit a kid and he leave in 1 year.

They may say to the kid, we hope you come but if you don't and end up in the portal next year, we may hit you up again, then, we may not. It's your choice (but we ain't gonna be using that private jet to continuously visit you or doing anymore of those stupid dances). 10-4?
