Penn State junior running back and Baton Rouge native Noah Cain announced Thursday that he is transferring to LSU.

Cain is a former four-star recruit from IMG Academy and was the No. 6 running back in the 2019 recruiting class. He was heavily recruited by LSU coming out of high school and even had the Tigers as one of his top schools before signing with Penn State. Per CBS:
quote:

Cain was Penn State's second-leading rusher during his junior season this fall and led the team in rushing touchdowns. He was ranked as the No. 98 overall prospect and No. 6 running back in the 2019 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and showcased that high-end potential during a breakout freshman season in 2019.

As a backup to Journey Brown for most of the year, Cain set a Penn State freshman record with eight rushing touchdowns in 10 games, totaling more than 100 yards twice in conference play and finishing the season with 92 yards and two touchdowns against Memphis in the Cotton Bowl. Cain was expected to be the lead back in 2020 but he suffered a season-ending injury in the first game and was out or limited for most of 2021 spring practice.

Say what you want but I do feel it benefits LSU to have all these kids from Louisiana.

NCAA Football traded recruiting and NSD for a transfer portal with a trade deadline. Idiots.

You mean they’re not berating him and calling him a quitter with no chest, like any self righteous super fan would do?

It's whatever. It will benefit and it will hurt. At least we will get player who want to be here for one reason or another ultimately.

We don’t exactly have the best NIL set up right now. These kids want to be here.

This is big. We have Kiner and Emery, two guys with a few years and game experience. Now we add a third. Traditionally the best two split time and the third is limited. Should be a good competition

shite, what does this mean for my boy Kiner?

Imagine being a top RB from the south and choosing Penn State?

Goodwin is probably going to enter the portal. He has been injured, so it's possible he stays to get healthy and then bolts. These positions are all going to be a revolving door for every major program until some sort of limitations and/or regulations are placed on NIL and the portal. At least with the NFL, which I am a passive fan of at best, the players sign agreements negotiated by experienced agents. This wide spread problem is a free for all with no direction. LSU is just one of many being impacted. SMH

His freshman year, he ran hard and always seemed to fall forward and gain few extra yards. He's never been the same since his injury but he hasn't had much support. The Oline has been terrible. I don't blame him for leaving and wish him nothing but the best.

Good. Now can we hold on to em, or are we burning schollies for 1 year fixes?

He has 2 years of eligibility remaining. But aside from that error can u explain how it would be a waste of a scholarship if he only had 1 year of eligibility remaining? Its not like the scholarship is for 4 years & LSU would be wasting the remaining 3 on him or whatever it is ur assuming??
