During a recent episode of "Detail" on ESPN+, Alabama's Nick Saban offered up high praise for LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and predicted that he would have a "fantastic career in the NFL."
quote:

In an episode of "Detail" that debuted on ESPN+ on Monday, Saban praised the projected top overall pick in next week's NFL draft as he broke down Burrow's performance in LSU's victory over Clemson to win the national championship in January. Burrow was 31-of-49 passing for 463 yards and five touchdowns as the Heisman winner capped LSU's undefeated season.

Saban complimented Burrow's accuracy and decision-making.

"I think Joe Burrow's got great vision, does a good job with pre-snap reads and knowing where he's going to go with the ball," Saban said. "He also can extend plays (and) scramble to throw, which I think is really, really important and puts a lot of pressure on the defense. So Joe Burrow's going to have a fantastic career in the NFL."

Maybe Nick will coach Joe one day soon.

That would not be the worst thing that could happen. Nick is an Ohio Valley guy. He would fit in Cincy. And they could use a coach who expects to win. Coach O got a second chance and look what he did with it. Why would Saban not be able to do the same at the pro level?

Burrow is a tough bad arse....tore everybody a new one all year long. Yeah, it hurt - but you have to give credit where credit is due. He wasn’t given anything, he earned it all. Props to Joe and Coach O for putting it together like nobody else has.

It fits his negative recruiting narrative against LSU and Coach O. "Coach O didn't have anything to do with LSU's national title. It was Joe and he is gone. Come to Bama."

Let’s get the opinion of a coach who is complete failure in the NFL

You realize it wasn't because he lacks football knowledge, right?

So if the greatest college coach and 2 year nfl coach isn’t credible, then where does that put you on the credibility scale?
user avatar

Not a complete failure but he couldn't relate to coaching adults.

No i got it right. 36-13 at half time, buddy. Burrow lit those crimson boys up! Bama will not be in the CFP. Mac Jones blows.
