NFL Analyst Tabs Jamal Adams As His No. 2 Impact Rookie

NFL Media analyst Bucky Brooks unveiled his list of five prospects "that will make the biggest impact as rookies" and pegged LSU safety Jamal Adams at No. 2.

2. Jamal Adams, LSU, S: The latest "DB U" product is the most instinctive defender in the draft, and he might be the most versatile prospect between the hashes, too. From stopping runners in the hole as a box-area defender to blanketing tight ends or slot receivers in space to roaming the deep middle as a centerfielder, Adams has a knack for being around the action in critical moments. Most importantly, he has a keen sense of timing and anticipation that will serve him well as a designated playmaker in a creative scheme. If Adams lands on a team with a coach who understands how to tap into his skills as a Swiss Army knife, he could deliver enough splash plays to walk away with Defensive Rookie of the Year honors at the end of the season.

Fournette definately is more of an impact than that aggie and gump. I like me some McCaffrey though.

Fournette could easily be the best player overall, if he goes to a team with a strong run block offensive line. He hits the hole with authority and he's gone. Not built to be a patient runner. He would thrive behind a line like Dallas has. Anyone like that looking for a power back would be crazy not to take him! Could be a franchise player in that type of situation.

I'd say Fournette is a top 5 impact player as well (possibly with the most impact). That's a good group they have though.

"1. Myles Garrett.." I don't see it. I can see why he may go first, athletically gifted pass rusher and all...but if he goes to Cleveland or San Fran, he will not make a big impact. Jonathan Allen is the best DL in the draft.

Saints could use Adams or Foster to bolster their defense. Sadly, they won't get either. Even if one is available. Sad

Garret has to be the most over-hyped player in the draft. Every time I watched him I wasn't impressed.
