Former NFL defensive star Jason Taylor had some harsh comments for his former head coach Cam Cameron who served as LSU's offensive coordinator from 2013-2016. Per The Miami Herald:

“Cam was an idiot,” Taylor says. “I have no idea how he got the job. I’ve never been around a more incompetent head coach than Cam Cameron. I’m talking youth football, college. It was unbelievable.

“Everything we did, he had to have a problem with. That was his way of being the biggest voice in the room. If I talked or Zach talked in a team meeting or after practice, he would always need to have the last word.

“It was the weirdest thing. We’d all look at each other because he would repeat something one of the players already said. That dude lost me first day of training camp. Even at minicamp, I’m wondering what are we doing?”
Taylor was recently elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Cameron was fired as LSU's offensive coordinator along with head coach Les Miles four games into the 2016 season.

Both Miles and Cam wasted a lot of opportunities at LSU. Miles should have been fired after 2012.

Another stupid comment by another stupid person! Do you know why Jason Taylor was commenting about Cam Cameron?? NO! Just mouthing off like idiot's do, I'm sure Jason Taylor was asked about his thoughts on Cam Cameron by a sports reporter, maybe from the Louisiana area, and he kindly obliged and gave his thoughts. What's classless is idiotic comments by clueless people!

I'm a big Ravens fan and I watched cam call plays for years. Always thought he was an idiot. The year we fire him, we go on to win the super bowl later that season. IMO That's no coincidence

Seems odd that he'd lash put now about something that happened so long ago...Cam must have really sucked. Can't even wrap my head around why Les would hire him...guess that says even more.

Caused les pitiful arse didn't give a damn what lsu fans thought. He was truly over his head. Yet most lsu fans attempted to make him "elite". The man makes me sick. To thumb his nose at the fan base was astonishing.

He gets fired mid season in the NFL, that team turns the corner and wins the super bowl. He gets canned mid season at LSU and with the same players, LSU goes on to break offensive records. We looked 100x better. He had ZM, OB, JL, and Hill and still couldn't get it together. Grading him as a COACH, I'm not sure how anyone could give him anything other than an "F-" Quite possibly the worst coach in LSU history.

In 2013, his offense had a 3,000 yd passer, a 1,000 yd rusher, and two 1,000 yd receivers. Perhaps they put up those numbers on talent alone, but the Tigers struggled that year because of the defense.

LSU former players never had bad words for coach Cam. Taylor had problems with coach Saban as well.

The last word huh? That sounds familiar. Jason Taylor has always struck me as a low keyed, hard working professional. Not to mention a first ballot Hall Of Famer. So I tend to believe his comments regarding football related matters. Plus, Cam was fired by the Ravens the week before the playoffs and they won the Super Bowl! Nuff said! Nice hire, Les!
