Per LSUSports.net: STARKVILLE, Miss. -- On a steamy evening at Davis Wade Stadium, self-inflicted wounds and Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald were too much for LSU Football to overcome in the SEC opener.

LSU (2-1, 0-1 SEC), which had two players ejected for targeting in a nine-penalty game, fell to State (3-0, 1-0 SEC), 37-7.

To answer your question, OU812, the majority of the State Of Louisiana, minus you, of course!

State was mentally prepared to play, we weren't. Too many showboats concerned with individual stardom. No team first attitude, it's all me me me.

This team was beaten in the trenches. LSU is woefully thin on both lines and anyone who says otherwise is kidding himself. We need a major recruitibg effort for OL and DL. In addition, I have my doubts about this offense but it is hard to say because of the sloppy play all around. Penalties, targeting calls, TDs called back, players out of position, it was sloppy all around. Total meltdown in every aspect. That team had zero focus for whatever reason. One team, one heartbeat my arse. I dont like the way they have put up with Arden Key and his bs. Same with Frank Herron. Coddling these players sends the wrong message. Thus team needs to get focused after thst reality check last night.

Embarrassing is the only word for this game. We are the youngest team in all of college football, but that offense was horrible. Maybe jet sweeps and shovel passes caught people off guard 5 years ago but last night it looked very predictable, reminded me of Les Miles.

"We are the youngest team in all of college football"...Link please. And even if it was true, we've had elite recruiting for years, so our young guys should be very good players, ready to step up.

Didn't Jalen Hurts just lead Alabama to the NC game and almost single handedly win that same game... as a true freshman?

Hey! Coach O is Cajun!

State was more physical than LSU on both sides of the ball and that is whats shocking to me. I'd never thought I'd see that. LSU still has the talent to beat every team left on yalls schedule.

But he talks like us............... Now I ask all the "Hire Coach O" fans, have you learned why hiring a d-line coach is not the way to win in the SEC!?!

exactly!

Reporter asked coach o about halftime adjustments. He "replied one team one heartbeat ". I knew we was doomed.

I wonder if more than 10% of the playbook was used tonight?!

It was mass confusion so how could we tell. We couldn't catch passes, block, tackle, etc. The only thing LSU did well was get penalized.

Relax people! no one every expected Coach O to when every game throughout his tenure. If that's what you believe, then your living in a fairy tale. If we finish the season without another loss, as well as a win against the guy in Tuscaloosa, do you really think they can keep us out of the playoffs? R-E-L-A-X!!!!!!

Playoffs? Playoffs? Are you kidding? Playoffs? We'll be lucky to win another game! Sorry, I couldn't resist the classic Jim Mora rant!

Tonight a "motivato/d line coach" was out coached by a HEAD COACH! The Coach Oeaux honey moon is over. It's time for a real head coach! This team is undisciplined and lean on coordinators entirely too much!

Everyone is ready to drop O and Canada in the fire, and rightfully so. But let's be clear: Aranda's defense, or lack there of, was absolutely abysmal! A total meltdown! This team is a lot younger than I realized! Damn I'm pissed! And the Saints will be skull drug by the Patriots tomorrow! No relief in sight!

Bottom Line: LSU can continue beating un-ranked mediocre teams but has ZERO chance of beating any decent team. Sad.
