During his post-practice press conference on Thursday afternoon, head coach Ed Orgeron said he was leaning towards starting freshman Max Johnson vs. Florida on Saturday but has not made a final decision yet.
quote:

"It looks like it's going to be Max but we have not made the final decision yet," Orgeron said. "Max has been practicing with the first-team, TJ with the second-team. We can go either way but it looks like it's going to be Max. But we have not made the final decision, we will tell them tomorrow."
Johnson, a freshman from Watkinsville, GA, has not started a game for the Tigers this season but has appeared in four games, completing 40 of 63 passes for 395 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 22 carries for 22 yards on the season.

Must be waiting on his side piece to make the decision.

What’s your mom have to do with this?

He’s divorced. He doesn’t have a side piece.

Might as well. Finley started a few games and you know what he's about. Time to see what Max can do.

He knows! He’s just not telling the media yet!

I think Max has handled the pressure from opposing defenses well. He has completed 40 of 63 passes while under pressure!

What a pu$$y Orgeron is. Why would you even consider starting a QB who has been taking 2nd team snaps all week? That alone is grounds for running Orgeron out of town. That's some Les Miles level stupidity.

when you're offensive line struggles, it's beneficial to play a quarterback with more mobility

Part of the OL struggles are (1)Finley’s inability to read a defense, (2)Finley’s slow reaction time, (3)Finley’s inaccuracy, (4)Finley’s lack of speed and quickness,(5)Finley’s poor pocket awareness.

ed Orgeron- a man of decision. He knows he wants two scoops of potato salad with his gumbo. His mind cannot be changed.

He’s already decided! He’s just not saying. Don’t tip your hand to UF.

The "don't tip your hand" approach is so overrated. It's not like the offense is going to drastically change based on what quarterback plays.

This opting out and transfer portal is ncaa bullsht. The championship team had plenty of guys who tuffed it out on the sidelines but had team first. When things are really tough the losers are the first to give up and quit....whether it's remaining active and mentally and physically quitting or leaving the team. The real winners are the guys who ultimately rise above the maelstrom. What we get in this era is the "entitled athlete" who has been educated in a system that does not require the development of mental toughness for dealing with adversity. Every teams got em....LSU is not unique...nor will this year be the end of it. The danger is that these people are a cancer on the balance of the team...they spread derision and because of their "talent" they have a following. Get rid of them.
