Manning was 36 and coming off major neck surgery. Flynn was at his peak perceived value after tearing it up for the Packers in his age 27 season. Not as crazy as it sounds.

Met Matt Flynn playing shuffleboard at Ivar’s like 6 years ago. He was a really nice dude. Had no idea who he was until after the game and my friends told me.
