Former LSU offensive lineman Maea Teuhema has received permission to contact several schools, including USC, Houston, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, according to Bruce Feldman with Fox Sports.

Maea Teuhema, a two-year starter on the LSU offensive line who was suspended indefinitely from the program on Wednesday morning, has received permission to contact several schools as he now looks to transfer. SI has learned that those colleges are USC, Houston, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, according to a source.
The sophomore from Keller, TX was suspended from the LSU Football team earlier this week and was granted his release to transfer on Thursday night.

Sione Teuhema, Maea's older brother, and one-time LSU linebacker, currently plays at Southeastern Louisiana.

If he had just passed this year he could have been drafted and his school days would have been over... what a waste of God given talent

Dude won't go to class but wants to sit out a full year and play in 2018? Good luck with that...

Pretty smart move by coach O....let him transfer, but only allow it to a few schools where he knows he can't make the grade.

If he can't make the grade at LSU, is there realistically anywhere he can?

Wait.... he didn't make the grade at LSU but he's transferring?... to what, a garbage truck?.... I didn't think you could transfer from college back to 1st grade ...

Why? This kid can't even be bothered to show up for class. He's probably fail out of Delgado. Kid's a loser

Remember when LSU fans were clamoring for both of these guys? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I liked his brother as an LB prospect and Maea was pretty good for us at guard. Hate to see both of their LSU careers end on a bad note.

I had forgotten all of the committing and decommitting that these guys did when they were coming out of high school. apparently, some things never change.

I don't care where he goes. As long as it's not the SEC. I just don't believe a player should be rewarded for transferring. I don't know the full details of his situation. Probably never will. But it's a privilege to play for the Tigers and in the SEC and he(and his brother), blew it! He should have to go to another conference and sit out a year.

So what else did he do besides the academic issues?

After all the shite Oklahoma started I'd delete them from that list.

Why should we grant him the ok to transfer to any D1 school?

Because this isn't slavery and he is not indentured.

This is all about the flight... nothing else. You don't talk bad about us and we will let you transfer to where you want cuz we don't need a STARTER THAT GRIMES RECRUITED AND STARTED.
