Brian Kelly has made several on-field coaching hires since being named the new LSU Football head coach on November 30th.

This week, all of Kelly's new hires had their official titles listed on LSU's website with coaching positions assigned:

Mike Denbrock - Offensive Coordinator / Tight Ends Coach
Frank Wilson - Associate Head Coach / Running Backs Coach
Brad Davis - Offensive Line Coach *
Joe Sloan - Quarterbacks Coach

Matt House - Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers Coach
Jamar Cain - Run Game Coordinator / Defensive Line Coach
Robert Steeples - Cornerbacks Coach
Kerry Cooks - Safeties Coach

Brian Polian - Recruiting Coordinator / Special Teams Coach

Jake Flint - Director of Athletic Development

* Retained from last year's staff.

The final piece to Kelly's coaching staff will be hiring a wide receiver coach. Former LSU wide receiver coach Mikey Joseph left the staff in December to take a job a Nebraska.

Not to be a debbie downer, but ed couldn't pull a single coach of this pedigree, and CBK has a whole staff.

Why is that being a debbie downer? Aranda played a huge part in O's first 3 years, which obviously includes the NC season. I don't know right off hand, but how much of Les Miles' staff did O keep? He did what everyone was expecting. Get rid of the OC, but he had a different OC every year. After Aranda left, he had a different DC his last two years. Ed O was the luckiest son of a bitch alive when he was able to get Burrow to LSU. He brought in Joe Brady who installed a passing game that fit Burrow, but other than that I don't know how much Brady contributed to the success of 2019. You put Burrow in an offense that had Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson and Terrence Marshall and an Aranda D.. Well I guess O did recruit them all right? So yeah O could recruit, but on the other hand his last two years it seemed like the talent at RB dropped off, the OL.

Do you truly believe O couldnt hire a high school coach? I get the obsession some on here have with sh!tti!ng on O, but comments like that are just laughable.

So we have a run game coordinator and no passing game coordinator. LSU is going back to its roots!

Cain is defensive run game coordinator. The DL coach doesn’t coach offense.

You really understood his DEFENSIVE title as having something to do with the offense? Really? Really??

I believe coach Kelly had no choice but to clean house after the disaster that occurred after the championship game. Good coaches had to go as well to establish a new atmosphere in the program.

Don't know Brian from Apple Butter, but as a alum in Indianapolis, Bill Polian was great here.

Resume aside. This is just nice to see a complete staff right after the season. Just refreshing. Goes to show, no one really wanted to work with O.
