LSU coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday that star pass rusher Arden Key has still not be cleared for physical contact after he visited his personal doctor this week. Per The Advocate:

Key, recovering from May shoulder surgery, was not cleared for contact during a visit to his personal doctor this week, Orgeron said. He remains doubtful, it would seem, to play in the Tigers’ Sept. 2 game against the Cougars in Houston.

Nobody will ask..so I will...how come he didn't have surgery during the whole spring he was off for personal reasons?..why wait until the recovery period was going to extend into the regular season?

Key is going to have an LF-type final year. He will probably only play sporadically.

I can see Key coming back, but if he has any kind of minor injury problem afterwards, he'll shut it down.

IDK. Maybe should have had the surgery after bowl game and not early summer?

Don't laugh. When this much money is at stake, pulling a Clowney is definitely on the table.

Him not playing at all this season would kill his draft stock.
