As expected, LSU pass rusher Arden Key will forgo his senior season to enter the 2018 NFL Draft. The 6-6, 250-pound Key is projected to be first-round draft pick despite a rocky junior season. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Key, a Georgia native, set the single-season school sack record (12) in 2016 as a sophomore before a drama-filled junior year produced 4 sacks and five missed games. Coach Ed Orgeron announced earlier this month that Key would not participate in the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame, citing his star’s health.

Key missed the final two games of the regular season with a knee injury, and he underwent surgery on a broken pinky finger immediately after the regular season.
The Lithonia, GA native went public with his draft decision on Twitter:

Guys he's gonna be a 1st round pick. Yes I agree, I don't have much respect for him as far as his work ethic goes but he did help majorly in games. He did not set a good example for the younger players at all. Once a tiger always a tiger . Best of luck to you Arden.

Being a Tiger fan, I can not wish him well. He was not a team player and sets the wrong example for others. We are better off with a 2 star who appreciates the opportunity that LSU provides and doesn't quit on the team!!!

Hate to agree here but I 100% do this time. Something else I believe is that the head coach sets a standard for the direction he wants the program to go in by the leadership he allows on the field at all times during the season. Regardless of how good he “was” his attitude and offseason issues just would not have flown with most championship contending programs. JMO

The sad fact is that not everyone is Marcus Spears. Some are Clowney. I can't be too hostile, though. If I was a big dumb guy (no offense, seriously) and had this one chance for financial freedom, I might very well take it. So would many of you.

Why is everybody tripping? We knew this was the case after his freshman year so TIGER NATION please respect this young mans decision to get paid and support a Tiger going off into the NFL. Once he gets into shape and healthy before the combines he's going to be a top ten pick maybe top five. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN??????????

With his lack of effort I just don't see him excelling at the next level. Maybe wrong but if I'm a GM and he's there in the 4th round i get him.
