The Tigers return to action in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night at 6:30pm against the New Mexico State Aggies. Here are two brief previews and predictions from ESPN and FanSided.

ESPN Preview: LSU is coming off of its first home loss in a night game to an unranked opponent under coach Les Miles. But don’t expect another letdown. The Tigers are 23-1 following a loss under Miles and haven't dropped a regular-season nonleague game since 2002. This is a chance for the defense to rebound and for young quarterbacks Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris to get on track. Complete Preview

Predictions: LSU over New Mexico State: Because last week was a total embarrassment for LSU, New Mexico State probably won’t enjoy this visit to Tiger Stadium as Les Miles’ club tries to rebuild its confidence before returning to SEC play.

FanSided Preview: LSU’s keys to victory start int eh backfield where Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron need to feed their four-man running back rotation about 65 percent of the time on Saturday night and let the Tigers offensive line set the tone against a smaller front seven of the Aggies and let Leonard Fournette, and Kenny HIlliard dictate the pace of the game. Complete Preview

Prediction: After combining for 76 yards on 20 carries against Mississippi State, I expect Fournette, Hilliard, Terrance Magee and Darrel Williams to rush for at least 300 yards and four touchdowns collectively. And that may be a conservative estimate considering the Aggies gave up 432 to New Mexico and 344 to UTEP the week before.

I like LSU to win and win in a big way and get back on track before they travel to Auburn next week.

LSU: 48, New Mexico State: 7
