TMZ released a video of on their website of LSU running back Leonard Fournette and offensive lineman Garrett Brumfield horsing around on campus, which they described as a street fight.

From the video you can tell that it was just friendly horseplay and LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette told TMZ the same.
quote:

But LSU Associate Athletic Director of Communications Michael Bonnette tells TMZ Sports the team has spoken to both players and have determined it was all an intense game of slap boxing.

"A game where they basically have to touch the other person twice."

"What you don't see is when the video cuts off, they hug it out. They're not mad at each other. No one was injured."
In the video you can also hear other players in the background laughing, which suggest that nothing serious was going on.

It's not just slap play if we are being honest. The failed haymaker says otherwise. Coach needs to pull aside #7 and have a chat with him. Defending him blindly is the same as the PT board defending Trump.

Looks like a classic case of "baws will be baws"

It's certainly not "brutal" but it's certainly not playful slap boxing either. We can be honest.

Well not gonna lie those looked like some real punches but seriously can't believe how the media (specifically TMZ) blew this up and tried soil Fournette's reputation as if this one incident was gonna tarnish his future and hurt his draft stock...really sad coming from someone who is working to get a job in the media.

it's literally just slap boxing. I've seen it so many times with friends throughout high school. Would people get offended with bloody knuckles, or mercy? Those are also two "violent" games and both require the loser to give up out of pain.

Reporter thought that was brutal. He must have been a Texas A&M defensive starter.

I though the media was horrible with the 2016 election only

Real fight? IDK. Slap boxing? No. Definitely didn't stop after "2 touches". Not buying the story. With that said.....nice counter punch move at the end by Buga. :)

Real or not, too much of an injury risk to be doing that.

LF7 is more at risk power driving skirts on campus. Will you tell him to stop slamming white chicks?

Didn't something like this happen in 2013 outside of Shady'sor Bogies? that was a pretty good year for the team, good sign ... Savages

Real fights don't look like boxing matches and Leonard could have stuck Garrett a few times at the end when Garrett was off balance...if it was a real fight
