Multiple sources are reporting that LSU running back coach Tommie Robinson is leaving the staff for the same job at Texas A&M under Jimbo Fisher.

Robinson, who also served as LSU's recruiting coordinator, will be replaced at the running back position by former LSU star Kevin Faulk. Faulk joined Ed Orgeron's staff in 2018 as Director of Player Development.

The move is something that Orgeron hinted could happen two weeks ago when Robinson interviewed with South Carolina.

Robinson joined LSU's staff in 2017, signing a three-year contract worth $600,000 per year. His contract with the Tigers expires on March 31.

Faulk played running back at LSU from 1995-1998 and is the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards (4,557) and rushing TDs (46). He was selected in the 2nd round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots where he played his entire 13-year career and won three Super Bowls with the team.

Betting he got a huge pay raise to help TAM mimic LSU’s offense and justify Jimbo’s ridiculous guaranteed salary.

TAM - SEC championships - ZERO TAM - NC since 1939 - ZERO This move checks out to be pretty damn stupid to leave this program and $600k for that Dumpster Fire. Good luck pal...

Robinson was looking at South Carolina 2 weeks ago and now goes to A&M? This looks like Coach O asked him to find another job.

TAMU continues their obsession with anything and everything LSU related. No, you're not a rivalry. No, you're not our little brother.

Alot in HS and alot more than you. Translation how much coaching experience did Joe bRady have before 2019 season?? What I learned if u got an issue, say something to the coach or better yet, you go and coach and start putting your mind to learn how to coach and be good at it, maybe u can do something about it if u do not want someone coach O picked out. I personally wanted someone else than Linehan for passing coordinator but coach Oeaux knows alot more than I do about coaching and I have zero expertise on how to be a passing game coordinator or a running backs Coach so I sit back n watch. Sound good side line fan coach?
