New LSU linebacker coach Blake Baker spoke during the Coaches Caravan on Wednesday night and talked about his working relationship with new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones.

Baker, a former DC at Louisiana Tech and most recently at Miami, said he will be a "sounding board" for Jones as he builds LSU's defense. Here's everything Baker said on Wednesday:

It's hard to over harshly judge players off of their performance last year. 2 years ago Clark looked like a future star, then last year he looked completely lost. Hopefully the new defensive staff gets him on the right path.

Probably played so much because he is a coach's dream. By all accounts a great kid, hard worker, and knows the playbook really well. He just sheds blocks worse my grandmother.
