Udeze was hired to LSU support staff as a defensive analyst last April. Per VUCommodoes:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kenechi Udeze, who served on staff for LSU’s recent national championship run, has been hired as Vanderbilt’s linebacker coach, as announced today by head coach Derek Mason.

“I have had nothing but the utmost respect for Kenechi Udeze as a student-athlete, professional player and a proven coach,” said Mason. “When he played for the Minnesota Vikings during my time as a defensive assistant with the organization, it was evident that he was a true student of the game. His career path and success speak for itself, and we’re excited to have him join our program.”

Udeze assisted Tiger defensive coordinator Dave Aranda as an analyst during LSU’s 15-0 campaign capped by an impressive 42-25 victory over Clemson in the College Football Playoff title game.

Winning has consequences. This coach poaching sure beats the alternative! Now we know how Saban feels when he loses his coaches...

Sounds like Orgeron is "cleaning house" here with all the departures. Imagine the new DC will want to bring in a lot of new people.

I think it’s more like getting your house cleaned. No fault of his own, I’m just saying he’s not the one doing the cleaning

This is more like other schools offering our guys a promotion, and more money. You cannot blame a man for trying to better himself.
