LSU running back coach Kevin Faulk was on Mad Dog Sports Radio last week and talked about the media’s comparison of Joe Burrow Tom Brady.

Here's what he had to say, according to 247Sports:
quote:

Burrow is on record saying he does not like the media’s comparison of him to legendary quarterback Tom Brady. However, Faulk compares him to his former teammate based on what he saw at LSU.

“I know he doesn't like the comparison (with Brady),” Faulk said. “But the only reason why I compare him to Tom is because of his preparation. His preparation is elite. His understanding of the teams were playing, the coverages we’re playing, the blitzes that they’re bringing. Of course they're going to get you once in a while because they change up and disguise but this kid reminds me so much of how Tom prepares for a game and how much he knew everything was going to happen over the course of a game.”

All about that prep and those player-only practice sessions.

JB has a burning desire to prove himself to all the doubters. He’s been doing it his whole life. It’s now a way of life for him. One in a million athlete. Good luck Joe.

Joe burrow is too humble to want the comparison to Brady. However, if you have an eye for talent, you can definitely see the similarities.

Yeah the only thing that matters when comparing players in their preparation. Nothing else. Burrow is definitely like Brady

if anybody knows how tom brady prepares and sees how he recognizes defenses during a game it would be faulk. Big compliment to burrow for sure.
