LSU has added two football games with Rice in the coming years as the Tigers will face the Owls in NRG Stadium in 2020 followed by a return trip to Tiger Stadium in 2024, the schools announced on Tuesday.

The LSU-Rice game in 2020 will be played on Sept. 19, while the 2024 contest will take place on Sept. 7.

These two games are in addition to the 2018 contest between the teams in Baton Rouge that was announced in January.

Good question... NRG is only slightly bigger than Rice Stadium. Only thing I can think of is that it's covered.

i guess they are planning on all the houston tigers to go to that game at NRG. I have no interest spending money to go to houston to watch the Tigers play Rice.

Unless Rice gets a surprise invite to the PAC-12 or Big12 this is about as exciting as watching grass grow.
