For a third straight week, LSU running back Leonard Fournette was named SEC offensive player of the week on Monday.

Fournette ran for 244 with two touchdowns against Syracuse on Saturday and now leads the nation in yards per game at 210. He is second in total touchdowns with eight and is third in total yards at 631 despite playing one fewer game.

• Had a 87 yard touchdown run negated by penalty in the second half.

• Became quickest player to 500 and 600 yards in a season in school history....First player in LSU history with back-to-back 200-yard rushing games.
• With 631 yards in first 3 games, it's the most by any player in the FBS over last 15 years ... Game also marked his 6th straight 100-yard game and eighth of career (LSU 7-1 in those games).

It's certainly a pleasure to get to watch this guy play. He's one hell of a role model on and off the field. Enjoy it guys b/c we may not see another player like him in our life times.

Forget the records moving forward. It is about winning championships!!! Put him on a pitch count and implement a strategy to keep him healthy for the long term...
