Edward Aschoff with ESPN.com, put together a list of his top 10 SEC running backs for 2014, LSU freshman Leonard Fournette came in at No. 8.

Here is his complete Top 10:

1. Todd Gurley, Jr., Georgia
2. T.J. Yeldon, Jr., Alabama
3. Derrick Henry, So., Alabama
4. Mike Davis, Jr., South Carolina
5. Alex Collins, So., Arkansas
6. Tra Carson, RJr., Texas A&M
7. Jonathan Williams, Jr., Arkansas
8. Leonard Fournette, Fr., LSU
9. Cameron Artis-Payne, Sr., Auburn
10. Kelvin Taylor, So., Florida
quote:

8. Leonard Fournette, Fr., LSU: No, he hasn’t touched the ball at the college level or gone through practice with the Tigers. But he was the nation's top-rated prospect in the 2014 class and ran for almost 1,800 yards as a senior in high school. He rushed for more than 7,600 yards in his high school career and was ready to run at the college level before his senior prom. He’s built like a truck and will run like one with the Tigers.
Not bad for someone who hasn't played a snap in college yet.

ESPN suspect. Buga for Heisman.

We all know how fiercely loyal Miles is to his upperclassmen. I'll be surprised if Fournette gets much playing time with the exception of mop up duty.

Miles didnt recruit a single back in 2013 Longhorn because Fournette was coming in 14, I can assure you he will get his fair share of snaps! You can take that to the bank!

Longhorn is either sarcastic or an idiot. Not sure. LSU has as good a record of using underclassmen as anyone if not better. The best play. LF will be one of the best. Can't wait to see him, Magee and Hilliard get it done behind the best and most experienced ol in the nation. Gonnabe a fun year.

I love knowing that I'm going to get a chance to see Fournette in action! I work for DISH and I'm pleased that I'll get to see some great LSU action on The SEC Network this season. Geaux Tigers!
