NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah updated his mock draft this week and has LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase getting selected No. 3 overall by the Miami Dolphins.

Jeremiah has Clemson QB Trevor Lawerence going No. 1 overall to the Jags and BYU QB Zach Wilson going to the Jets at No. 2.

Pick No. 3 - Miami Dolphins
Ja'Marr Chase · WR
School: LSU | Year: Junior

I flirted with giving the Dolphins one of the top offensive linemen here, but they are desperate for difference-making speed and playmaking ability on the outside.
For the Saints fans out there, Jeremiah has New Orleans drafting Alabama QB Mac Jones at pick No. 28 in the first round.

With Tua under center in Miami, I am almost certain D. Smith goes 3rd if they're taking a WR in the 1st round.

Don’t be so sure Tua is going to be Miami’s QB going forward. This season gave them a lot of reservations about him. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see the dolphins draft a QB at 3. Tua certainly didn’t measure up to Burrow or Herbert. They picked the wrong guy. Should’ve drafted Herbert.

I am not picking a WR that high. O line and D line is best pick there. You can find WRs later rounds.

agreed. Many WRs can succeed, but nothing happens without a good O line. It’s not sexy, but it’s critically important.

Chase & Tua can be dangerous if they surround them with the right pieces/scheme.

Gumps? You mean the Rant? They seem to have forgotten how good he he is. People thought the nfl would GAF about him opting out.

I’m like y’all when it comes to Chase. I’ve seen 10+ mock drafts from different people and I’ve only seen like two that had Smith going before Chase. I want to say one of them had him going to Miami and their main reason was bc of Tua and nothing about him compared to Chase. There may be more that two that have him going higher, but I haven’t seen them.

If Justin Jefferson did what he did last year, and in many analysts eyes Ja'Marr was better, how would you not put him this high?

In a way I think that what JJ did might have given Chase a little boost for the reason you said
