THAT would be fantastic. I would LOVE to see Coach O beat Jimbo as further proof that LSU made the right decision.

Would be a great way for Coach O to start his official permanent HC job and dampen the critics--take out the guy a lot of people wanted.

Other than being driven completely crazy by that monotonous indian chant, that would be a fantastic game.
user avatar
Lexman189 months
I agree. Between the Braves and the Seminoles, this chant is getting old. We get it. Now try something else.

There are pretty good match ups overall. Time for SEC to strut their collective stuff (except Florida who can go f themselves)!

Is it confirmed that Beckwith will be out for the bowl game?

Yeah, is he not playing in the bowl? I had no idea his injury was so serious.

Whoever we play, I'm gonna melt if our players talk trash leading up. Actions speak louder, Savages. GEAUX Tigers!!!
user avatar
Gumbo189 months
@Just_Fight_Baby "Savages". You just repeated trash talk from an LSU player to Bama a few years back. Just sayin'

This would be a great way to end a disappointing season. FSU is a storied Program. I remember watching them growing up. The years with Ward, Dunn, Boulware, Warrick, Boldin, Weinke, Big Greg Jones. Those epic battles with the Hurricanes. The best thing LSU could ask for at the end of a disappointing season is a Great Bowl matchup against a Great opponent. This is a very intriguing matchup. LSU stout Defense against one of the best Running backs in College Football. And of course the underlying story of LSU desperately pursuing Jimbo Fisher for the head coaching job. I'd be very happy to end the season playing the NOLES.
user avatar
Lexman189 months
I agree with everything you said except the part about LSU being desperate to hire Fisher. I heard Fisher's agent wanted $7mil. per year for 10 years guaranteed. Alleva told him to stick it up his arse! If true, doesn't sound desperate at all.

You lost me at storied program. It has a pretty short history of relevance. Teachers college.
user avatar
RaginRed89 months
@Mike Da Tigah okay moron, 8 national championship appearances 3 national titles. 18 conference championships. And a Playoff Appearance. I'd say that's right on our Level. Been a solid program for the last 20 years. Sorry they aren't up to your standards.

Ed has 5 weeks to get Fournette and Guice on the field TOGETHER in offensive plays..... no excuses not to get that done and whoever we play in whatever bowl no team will be able to key on both.
user avatar
Lexman189 months
Fournette should have minor ankle surgery and bypass the bowl game. Nothing to be gained here. Heal up big guy and head to the NFL. Guice and co. got your back!
user avatar
Magazine St89 months
Fournette's high ankle sprain would definitely be healed up by then. I've been waiting to finally see a Fournette vs Cook run off.
