Former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was formally introduced as Florida Atlantic head coach on Tuesday morning.

During his introductory press conference, Kiffin said that if wasn't at FAU he would be back at Alabama next year, which has many people believe is not true.

Kiffin's contract was expiring after this season and was not expected to be renewed. He was also linked to the LSU offensive coordinator position under Ed Orgeron, who he is reportedly very good friends with.

So, Kiffin is knocked for his loyalty but anyone expected him to say he had no intentions of returning to Alabama?

So now everyone is a mind reader? The man said he would have been back at Bama and everyone is saying he's lying? Incredible!

Sick of hearing this toad's name. We aren't getting him. I personally never wanted him. Let's move on. Canada will be an excellent fit in our system and may stick around longer than one year with less baggage. #geauxtigers

It just says a lot to me that Kiffin just doesn't respect Orgeron as a coach. Sure he considers him a friend and Orgeron can work for him, but when it comes to the other way around, he probably thinks that he's just a dumb Cajun hick that is not qualified to be his boss. He would have made much more money as an OC at LSU in the powerful SEC, but takes a lower paying job as HC at a small school. That says a lot.

Wow how the might have fallen, Freshwater goes from HC gigs at Oakland, UT, USC. Assistant stops at USC and BAMA to FAU. Plus he loses his fine as hell wife Layla in the process because he's a moron and narcissist. **also in that pic he looks absolute thrilled to be the Owls HC.

Yeah, right...so he told his BFF he would never come to LSU? So...it's just a coincidence that we suddenly offered a scholarship to his QB recruit at Bama? Well, have fun in Boca Raton, Joey!

Florida Atlantic? Aren't they in the same conference as Southwest North Carolina State?

How about hiring a top-notch NFL Offensive Coordinator? Why limit yourself to NCAA?

Good point Jimbob. Of course, our last o-coordinator (Cameron) came from the NFL. Just saying

I am so happy this guy did NOT come to LSU. I understand he had to take this job because they are the only people that would hire him. He is trying to get some of his credibility back when Houston would not hire him.
