ESPN College Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit revealed his Top 4 teams after week 12 and included LSU as his first team in the 'Next 2' group, followed by USC.

The Trojans jumped LSU in the AP Top 25 after their win over UCLA, taking the No. 5 spot that was previously held by Tennesee.

It will be interesting to see who lands in the No. 5 spot on Tuesday night when the latest College Football Playoff rankings are revealed.

You can bet the 2 Big10 darlings will remain 2-3 .... even after they beat each other. The Midwest "Large Market" sportswriters won't allow them to miss the Big Dance.

Still cannot get over that we're in playoff talks and in the SEC championship after watching the first few games. Simply remarkable.

What we need is a huge, lopsided win by either Michigan or OSU. A really close game doesn't help us.

What we need is to win out. Can't control what the teams ahead of us do but LSU does control their path. Win out and they are in.

What we need is both. Control what we can control and hope for a huge, lopsided win in the Michigan vs OSU game.

We don’t need help. Beat Georgia and you’re in. Geeze.

The nice thing about this order is that we don't have to become ND fans this weekend.

If the CFP poll looks like this, bodes well for LSU. That will avoid the need to leapfrog USC, should LSU beat UGA. It will be even better if OSU/UM loser is not retained in the top 4.
