Herbie has Ohio St number one? Shocker.

Some of you need to realize that Herbie's rankings are based on eye test. based on eye test alone - I have a tough time separating Bama (with Tua), LSU, and OSU. those 3 teams in any order would sit just fine with me, and I think Oklahoma is really close to being in that top 3 because their defense has been really impressive to me.

Ohio State does not below in the top 10

OSU has played nobody. There is literally no reason to rank them above LSU.

these rankings don't matter - it's just Herbie. The only ranking that matters is the Playoff Selection Committee's final rankings. The rest is just fluff. And sorry, but Ohio State is legit.

tOSU's signature game is Michigan State. They were ranked 25 at the time but now aren't even receiving votes to be ranked anywhere. I think they are good, but who knows? we are the only ones in the top four who have played a team that is ranked now.

Signature game in Cincinnati, the team that will likely finish ranked in the top 15 at year end that Ohio State shut out 42-0. I swear some of you just spew shite out of your mouths.

I'm sorry but when you are all excited about your win against Cincinnati, you aren't helping your case. Cincinnati will not finish in the top 15 I can promise you that much. That being said, I do not have a problem with OSU at #1. In my mind they are probably the most complete team in the country, regardless who they have played.

This is not a typical OHio St. team. They are for real this year. Their defense is pretty solid, Our defense is Swiss cheese.

Yep. It’s tough to be objective about this game, but that’s about the size of it.

In all fairness to Herbie he calls it like he sees it and doesn’t give a shite if it’s Ohio St or not. I believe he truly thinks Ohio State is the best team based on their body of work vs the teams the have played so far. Obviously when our Defense catches up all bets are off and everyone fuked and he knows this man..

Unless he’s the chairman of the selection committee, who cares? Should I care about Gary Danielson’s top 4?

tOSU doesn’t have to play Bama & the Zebras

I’d love to hear his rationale for tOSU being #1.

His rationale is that he went to school there. That is literally his rationale.

Ohio State has played no one, but they do have explosive speed and no one has come closer than 24 points to them. Hard to judge really, but they have looked great.

I’d have us #1 based off of who we beat, but OSU is legit. If he thinks they’d beat us on a neutral field, then strength of schedule to this point doesn’t matter.
